We are a few hours away from the 2015 Australian Open Women's Final featuring Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams.
GlamSpinTennis was awfully prescient about the storylines, questions, and predictions that permeated throughout 2014 (2014 ATP Predictions) (2014 WTA Predictions).
Without further ado, here are the storylines, questions, and predictions that will captivate tennis fans in 2015.
10. Can Maria Sharapova beat Serena Williams? Serena has been suffering from a nasty sounding cold throughout the Australian Open which may give the Russian-American a shot to pull off her first Serena win since 2004.
9. New Balls Please. Will any of the young guns on the ATP tour breakthrough and win a major in 2015? Milos Raonic (and his hair) seems to want it so badly, but his devastating serve routinely comes up short against the Big 4. GlamSpinTennis is betting that Kei Nishikori will exceed his 2014 US Open runner-up position and win the 2015 title.
8. Last gasps of the Spanish Armada. Remember when Rafael Nadal introduced himself to the world at the 2004 Davis Cup when he beat Andy Roddick? That D-Cup hailed the arrival of the young Spaniards - Rafa, David Ferrer, Feliciano Lopez, and others who had been motivated by Carlos Moya's victories. These days, the boys are in their late 20s and early 30s with few newcomers seemingly joining their ranks. But lookout for the Spanish ladies - Garbine Muguruza and compatriot Carla Suarez Navarro are making their way up the ranks of the WTA Tour.
7. Oh la la. The French men sure proved disappointing in 2014. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gael Monfils, and Richard Gasquet continue to make sporadic appearances in the late stages of tournaments but keep on failing to seal the deal. GlamSpinTennis is not optimistic about their chances in 2015; Oh la la.
6. Vive Le Canade (not the nationalist organization). The young Canadians, led by 2014 Wimbledon Doubles Titlist Vasek Pospisil, are among the most exciting contingent of players on the ATP and WTA tours.

Genie Bouchard had a breakout 2014 WTA season and has gone from interview to interview saying how much she wants to the WTA World No. 1 ranking and to win a major title. Genie's gonna be coming on strong at Wimbledon, where she was the 2014 Finalist. However, GlamSpinTennis predicts Serena Williams will be deploying an arsenal of serves and forehands to claim the 2015 Wimbledon title.
4. Farewells. Lleyton Hewitt has announced that he will make his 20th appearance at the 2016 Australian Open his last one. We'll see if he calls it quits in January 2016 and if 2015 serves as the Australian former ATP World No. 1's farewell tour. GlamSpinTennis also predicts that this will be Francesca Schiavone's last tango. The soon-to-be 35 year old Italian was the surprise 2011 Roland Garros champion and did not have much success in her 2014 campaign. On the retirement note, will Juan Martin Del Potro's wrist ever be the same?
