US Open 2014: Best Dressed Men - Fashion Aces

We can't forget to take a look at the gentlemen's stand-out fashions at the 2014 US Open . 1. Grigor Dimitrov GlamSpinTennis was eagerly anticipating the return of Rafael Nadal's sleeveless kit, but was horribly disappointed when Rafa withdrew from the tournament.  In Nadal's absence, Grigor's blue-on-blue kit was the king of Queens (....Queens, NY) for Nike men.  2. Gael Monfils 2014 provided Asics with redemption after the 2013 Roland Garros fiasco . Gael Monfils looked young and fun in his matching lime green outfit. LaMonf looked good during his strong run through the tournament (notwithstanding his shocking exit after holding match points versus Roger Federer) and we hope that the Asics team and Gael can find the way to win a major title in 2015.   3. Kei Nishikori Kei made it all to way to the finals at the 2014 US Open, losing in straight sets to Marin Cilic. His red-white-and black Uniqlo kit stood out for its stylish fit and s...

US Open 2014: Closer Look - Tomas Berdych

It's been exciting to see H&M, a new entrant in the tennis apparel market, try to shake things up. The Swedish retailer fired a couple mishits and head-scratchers at the 2014 major tournaments. ( See Argentina inspired shirt in Melbourne; Tropical/Floral Pattern w/stripes in Paris; and Red on White at Wimbledon).  However, H&M finally lived up to expectations outfitted its marquee and only sponsored tennis player, world No. 5, Tomas Berdych, with some stylish duds.  According to Tomas, " it’s probably not the most bold, but the simplest, outfit of this season." Let's take a closer look: So what do you guys think of @tomasberdych 's outfit this time ? I like the orange patches ! pic.twitter.com/SeoXY12WGS — TomášBerdychFans (@TBerdychFans) August 27, 2014 Here's a bonus video from H&M and Tomas set to brooding, foreboding music:

Citi Open 2014: (North) Americans Storm into Men’s Quarter-Finals in DC

Americans John Isner and Sam Querrey were expected to perform well in the nation’s capital.  Sadly, neither player was able to make into the third round of the Citi Open. Thankfully, their compatriots Donald Young and Steve Johnson are carrying the banner for fans of American tennis.  Donald and Stevie both beat seeded players to move on to the quarter-finals in Washington, DC.  Stevie served as a giant killer, knocking out the ninth-seeded Ivo Karlovic.  Donald prevailed over Denis Istomin, the fifteenth seed, in three sets. Our Canadian friends Milos Raonic and Vasek Pospisil also made the final eight at the Citi Open.   After winning the Wimbledon doubles trophy in early July, Pospisil continued his breakthrough summer in DC.  Vavek played aggressively to dispatch ATP World no. 5 Tomas Berdych in straight sets on Wednesday night.
