Taste of Tennis is a tradition taking place in the days leading up to the US Open. The event pairs tennis fans with fine dining, cooking demonstrations, and tennis mega-stars.
On the day of the event, the world discovered that Genie Bouchard was being coached by Jimmy Connors when they showed up on the US Open practice courts together.
Jimmy Connors is a former ATP World No. 1, multiple slam winner, and the ex-coach of Andy Roddick and Maria Sharapova.
Genie said, "we were training elsewhere for a few weeks," to explain how she kept her new partnership with Jimmy under wraps.
She also confirmed that they did not color coordinate their practice attire.
Both were sporting lavender hues during her practice session, "I noticed that when we were on the court, but that was not planned," said Genie.
